2026 Regional 7 (DF95) Championships.

A fleet of 36 skippers arrived at Wickham Park for this DF95 regatta hosted by the SCMSC. Using a 3 fleet format, 11 rounds of racing was completed. Congratulations to the winner Peter Feldman. Second place Tony Gonsalves was closely followed by 3rd place Baron Bremer. My thanks goes to David Young and his race team for hosting this enjoyable event.

2025 US1m Championship

It was pretty much the same weather at Wickham Park for the final day of the US1m Championship. With light and variable winds (0-5mph), the boats sometimes just drifted around the course, waiting for the next little breeze to help them move to the next mark. It could be a bit frustrating, but they still managed to complete 19 races over the two-day regatta.

Gary was super consistent with the fleet and really nailed it on the last day, becoming the 2025 US1m Champion.
Congrats also to the other skippers! Second place John Taylor with his 'Pringle' design. John Chalier took 3rd place with a boat designed and built just for him locally, and Larry Grant from California came in 4th with his Mike Shaw design hull, which he’s been successful with before.

A huge shoutout to Chuck Millican and his Race Team, along with everyone at the Space Coast Club, for making this regatta such a fun event!
